Can You Speak Emergent?

Slice of Laodicea is going to give you a little help in speaking emergent.

Are you an emergent Bad Boy? Are you a Bad Girl of emergent? Find out here. Hint: Bono and C.S. Lewis are in the crosshairs.

Emergent NO is also Spiritual Formation NO. Hmmm.

More frustration with Stetzer. Stetzer yes, categories no.

And finally, if you want to know where to discuss the DaVinci Code, Stephen Shields links wildly here.

The anti-emergent critics are starting to drive me to depression. The substantive differences bother me - at least they bother me where I can identify them. But I am even more alarmed at how emergent's critics don't even understand what it is about.

I've dropped by to read your thoughts a couple times, but now that you've linked to my blog. I'll make sure I keep coming back. :)

Seriously though, the emegent bashing, can get really tiresome. The emerging church needs critics but the tone and rhetoric that keeps getting posted lately is dissapointing.

Sometimes I read emergent no, and other sites like it, and wonder if these people are reading teh same literature as me. especially when people start railing on how we're wrong because we want to help the poor and try to eradicate aids. Do they really believe that god doesn't want us to do that?
