Amry Winkler says she did it. She killed her husband, a Church of Christ Minister in Selmer TN. Bloggers have the story here, here, and here.
This is a tragic event - frightening. From all accounts as of yet, there were no signs that this should have happened. No domestic violence reports, no drug abuse or affairs. No one seems to know what lead to this murder. Mary Winkler has yet to make any public statement.
Pray for Mary and the Winkler children as their life has just changed forever.

Matthew was a cousin to a couple of our members at PV in Little Rock. Please remember them - and others in his family - in your prayers, too.
I attend church with John Mehr, the lead TBI investigator on this. One of the assistant DAs is a member at North Jackson COC. These guys are very good at what they do. I'm sure they will get to the bottom of this very quickly.
My sense is that there is much more to this situation than what has been discussed in the media so far. They need to speak with the people at his previous 2 congregations. It takes alot for a woman to shoot her husband.
